If you already run Google Cloud, Cloud Translation is often the cheapest way to add languages to WordPress. LocaleReady is the plugin that calls that API, remembers every string, and serves later visitors from your database.
You pay Google for new characters. You pay LocaleReady a yearly license based on how many sites you activate. Traffic and word count do not change the license.

Questions
Do I need a service-account JSON file?+
No. LocaleReady uses a Google Cloud API key with Cloud Translation enabled, not a service-account download. Create the key in Google Cloud, restrict it if you can, and paste it in Settings → Connectors.
Can I fall back to DeepL?+
Yes. Connect both keys and choose a primary. Missing strings go to the backup if the first provider fails.
Use the Google key you already have
Paste it once. LocaleReady only sends strings it has not stored.
