Activate your license

The license key is in the checkout email and on the account page. Paste it into LocaleReady in WordPress admin (the plugin’s license field).

Activation sends the key, the plugin slug (localeeasy), the site URL, and a site fingerprint to our API. A valid key is marked active for that site.

The API accepts the key when all of these hold:

  • The key exists and is for LocaleReady, not another CloudCatch plugin.
  • The license is not inactive (refunded, cancelled in a way that revoked it, or rotated).
  • The site is within the activation limit on your plan (1, 3, or 10 sites — or whatever an admin granted).

If activation fails, the plugin should show one of: invalid key, inactive, activation limit, or plugin mismatch. Fix the key or the site count; do not keep retrying a rotated key.

WordPress does not call us on every page view. The plugin should validate on admin load and cache the result for 12–24 hours. A rotate or revoke takes effect the next time that cache misses.

Checkout sets max_activations from the plan you bought: 1, 3, or 10 WordPress sites on the same key. A later activate that would go over the limit fails with activation_limit. Need more than ten? That is an agency quote, not a second self-serve checkout.

A valid license does not translate by itself. Get a DeepL or Google API key and paste it under Settings → Connectors, then enable languages.
